ভারতের কমিউনিস্ট পার্টি (মার্কসবাদী)-র পক্ষ থেকে আজ এনফোর্সমেন্ট ডিরেক্টরেট (ইডি) সদর দপ্তরে কেরলের প্রাক্তন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী তথা সিপিআই(এম) পলিটব্যুরো সদস্য পিনরাই বিজয়নের বাসভবনে ইডির অভিযানের বিরুদ্ধে তীব্র প্রতিবাদ জানানো হয়। এই প্রতিবাদ মিছিলের নেতৃত্ব দেন সিপিআই(এম) সাধারণ সম্পাদক এম. এ. বেবি।

বিক্ষোভ চলাকালীন দিল্লি পুলিশ আন্দোলনকারীদের আটক করে। আটক হওয়া ব্যক্তিদের মধ্যে ছিলেন প্রবীণ নেত্রী বৃন্দা কারাত, পলিটব্যুরো সদস্য অশোক ধাওয়ালে, মারিয়াম ধাওয়ালে এবং বিজু কৃষ্ণন, কেন্দ্রীয় কমিটির সদস্য বিক্রম সিং এবং দিল্লি রাজ্য সম্পাদক অনুরাগ সাক্সেনা। এছাড়াও একশোরও বেশি বিক্ষোভকারীকে আটক করা হয়েছে।

সমাবেশে বক্তব্য রাখার সময়, এম. এ. বেবি কেন্দ্র সরকারের নির্দেশে ইডির এই পদক্ষেপের তীব্র নিন্দা করেন এবং বলেন যে পিনরাই বিজয়নের বাসভবনে এই অভিযান সম্পূর্ণ রাজনৈতিক উদ্দেশ্যপ্রণোদিত এবং একটি প্রতিহিংসামূলক কাজ। তিনি উল্লেখ করেন যে আদালত বারবার পর্যবেক্ষণ করেছে এক্সালজিক (Exalogic) মামলার সাথে পিনরাই বিজয়নের বিন্দুমাত্র কোনো সম্পর্ক নেই, তবুও তার বিরুদ্ধে রাজনৈতিক চক্রান্ত অবিরাম চলছে। এখন তাকে কেবল বীণার বাবা হওয়ার অপরাধে নিশানা করা হচ্ছে।

তিনি আরও বলেন যে, মুখ্যমন্ত্রী ভি. ডি. সতীসনের দিল্লিতে প্রধানমন্ত্রীর সাথে বৈঠকের পরপরই এই ধরণের একটি পদক্ষেপ নেওয়া অনেক গুরুতর প্রশ্ন উত্থাপন করে এবং এটিকে একটি রাজনৈতিকভাবে পরিকল্পিত নাটক বলে মনে হচ্ছে। সিএমআরএল (CMRL) ডায়েরিতে যাদের নাম এসেছে বলে জানা গেছে, তাদের অনেকেই এখনও রাজ্য সরকারের গুরুত্বপূর্ণ পদে বহাল রয়েছেন। অথচ, সেই সমস্ত ব্যক্তিদের উপেক্ষা করে ক্রমাগত পিনরাই বিজয়নকে নিশানা করা এই পদক্ষেপের পেছনের রাজনৈতিক প্রতিহিংসাকে আরও বেশি করে উন্মোচিত করে দেয়।

তিনি স্পষ্ট জানান যে, কোনো তদন্ত প্রক্রিয়াকে বাধাগ্রস্ত করার বিন্দুমাত্র উদ্দেশ্য পার্টির নেই। তবে, কেন্দ্র সরকার কর্তৃক রাজনৈতিক উদ্দেশ্যে কেন্দ্রীয় এজেন্সিগুলোর এই নির্লজ্জ অপব্যবহার কোনোভাবেই মেনে নেওয়া যায় না। বিরোধী দলের নেতাদের বেছে বেছে নিশানা করা এবং গণতান্ত্রিক অধিকারের ওপর আক্রমণের বিরুদ্ধে পার্টি জনগণকে ঐক্যবদ্ধ করবে এবং দেশজুড়ে তীব্র আন্দোলন গড়ে তুলবে।

CPI(M) Protest at ED Headquarters Against the Raid on Former Kerala Chief Minister Comrade Pinarayi Vijayan’s Residence; Protesters Including Senior Leaders Detained by Police

The Communist Party of India (Marxist) strongly protested today against the raid conducted by the ED at the residence of former Kerala Chief Minister and CPI(M) Polit Bureau member Pinarayi Vijayan at the Enforcement Directorate (ED) headquarters. The protest was led by CPI(M) General Secretary M.A. Baby.

During the protest, Delhi Police detained the demonstrators. Those detained included senior leader Brinda Karat, Polit Bureau members Ashok Dhawale, Mariam Dhawale and Vijoo Krishnan, Central Committee members Vikram Singh, and Delhi State secretary Anurag Saxena. More than one hundred protesters were also detained.

Addressing the gathering, M.A. Baby strongly condemned the action carried out by the ED under the direction of the central government and stated that the raid on Pinarayi Vijayan’s residence was a politically motivated act of vendetta. He pointed out that courts have repeatedly observed that Pinarayi Vijayan has absolutely no connection with the Exalogic case, yet the political witch-hunt against him continues unabated. He is now being targeted even for being Veena’s father.

He further stated that such an action taking place immediately after Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan’s meeting with the Prime Minister in Delhi raises serious questions and appears to be a politically orchestrated drama. Several individuals whose names reportedly appeared in the CMRL diary continue to hold important positions in the state government. However, while ignoring all of them, the continuous targeting of Pinarayi Vijayan further exposes the political vendetta behind these actions.

He said that the party has no intention whatsoever of obstructing any investigation process. However, the blatant misuse of central agencies by the central government for political targeting cannot be accepted. The party will mobilize people and organize strong protests across the country against the selective targeting of opposition leaders and the attacks on democratic rights.
